Animal Health Care of Myerstown
Animal Health Care of Myerstown is located in Myerstown, PA. We are a full service companion animal hospital. We provide services to cats and dogs along with exotic pets such as birds, reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs and other pocket pets. Dr. Jeffery Horst designed and built Animal Health Care of Myerstown in 2006. Our veterinarians and veterinary staff are committed to providing the highest-quality medical and surgical care to our patients and offer the best possible service to our clients. We want your pets be happy, healthy, and pain free; and to live as long as possible.
A quote our staff tries to live by: "people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget the way you made them feel."
Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime.
We understand the special role your pet plays in your family and are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet's health care. We treat your pet as we would our own. Our goal is to practice the highest quality medicine and surgery with compassion and an emphasis on client education. Our entire healthcare team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner.

FOR WELLNESS/VACCINE APPOINTMENTS OUR OFFICE IS CURRENTLY SCHEDULING INTO DECEMBER AND JANUARY!
Our office is currently accepting new clients. Our office defines a new client as any person that has not been to our office before with any pet OR previous clients that have not been seen by our office for 2 years or longer. Please see below for more information.
ATTENTION NEW CLIENTS: New clients are being scheduled into December and January. New clients will be required to pre-pay the exam fee of $70.00 to hold your appointment in our schedule. This helps deter last minute cancelations and no-shows. If you cancel last minute (24 hours before appointment) or no-show, you will not receive your deposit back. Thank you for your cooperation.
Please be advised that due to the continuing shortage of veterinarians in our area, our schedule is becoming more demanding than ever. We are currently booked 3-4 months out for wellness/vaccine appointments. We expect that our schedule will continue to fill quickly over the next few months, and we could eventually be 5-6 months out. We are recommending scheduling all wellness/vaccine appointments ONE YEAR in advance! This way we can make sure your pets stay on schedule with their annual visits.
We will continue to do our best to accommodate our sick patients as soon as possible. Please understand we are not an emergency hospital and cannot always provide immediate care. If your pet needs immediate care, we may have to refer you to an emergency facility. Please be patient with us as we do our best to accommodate our current and new clients.
We appreciate your understanding.
